Operations Team Managers - Inbound & Auto Chambers
Location: Castle Donington, UK
About the Role
Our fast, flexible, and ever-evolving Castle Donington Distribution Centre is dedicated to supporting the growth of our online business through enhanced efficiency and higher customer order volumes. We now seek experienced individuals to take charge and relish responsibility in our Operations Team Manager roles across Week 1 and Week 2.
Summary
As operations grow to handle increasing volumes of customer orders, we are expanding our team. Are you someone who loves taking ownership and leading?
We have two fantastic opportunities for Operations Team Managers to join our Inbound & Auto Chamber Teams. Working across a two-week rota, your role will involve managing a team to ensure seamless distribution of products to our customers while fostering a safe and collaborative work environment.
The Two-Week Rota Pattern
Our dayshift patterns rotate as follows:
- Sunday: Off
- Monday - Thursday: Week 1: In / Week 2: Off
- Friday & Saturday: Week 1: In / Week 2: Off
- Friday & Saturday: Alternately: Week 2: In / Week 1: Off
Start times typically include 30 minutes preparation, averaging 40.25 hours per 2 weeks. Shift times generally run from approximately 5:30 AM to 6:00 PM (with slight variations based on area).

What You’ll Do
As an Operations Team Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
Core Accountabilities
- Managing people-related matters (including wellbeing, absence, talent, and performance management), ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Cultivating colleague engagement to foster a culture of empowerment and support.
- Continuously refining operational processes to enhance productivity.
- Guiding Shift Managers in planning, managing, and adjusting staffing to align with productivity requirements and trade targets.
- Championing a culture of health and safety by setting a positive example and following established processes.
- Encouraging cross-functional collaboration to meet site objectives, setting high standards for internal and external customers.
Who You Are

- Team leadership experience alongside clear and consistent communication.
- Data-driven decision-making skills to achieve commercially effective outcomes.
- A fast-paced, fast-adapting mindset and proactive approach to problem-solving.
- An understanding of external and internal customer expectations regarding quality, service, accuracy, and performance.
