Therapy Dogs Nationwide
Therapy Dogs Nationwide is a UK charity bringing comfort, connection, and wellbeing to people of all ages through dog-assisted visits. Our volunteers and their dogs visit hospitals, schools, care homes, prisons, and community settings, offering moments of joy, calm, and companionship where they’re needed most.
We’re looking for an independent consultant to support our operational activity and volunteer community during a period of organizational transition. If you’re calm, organized, people-centred, and passionate about enabling volunteers to thrive, this role will suit you beautifully.
About the Role
As our Operations & Volunteer Support Consultant, you’ll provide flexible, specialist support across day-to-day operations, volunteer queries, communications, and governance. You’ll help ensure volunteers receive clear, timely guidance and that trustees have the information they need to make confident decisions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
