Operations & Warehouse Operative

You will be responsible for maintaining office utilities, supporting legislative compliance, and ensuring a safe and effective workplace environment.

This role is critical to the effective management and control of stock, ensuring full traceability and accountability for all equipment and materials held at our Chelmsford office. By coordinating deliveries and supplying operational teams with the required equipment and oil against assigned job numbers, the Operations & Warehouse Operative helps ensure uninterrupted service delivery across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the maintenance of all office utilities to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations
  • Assist in meeting legislative and health & safety requirements across the workplace
  • Receive, check, and process all incoming deliveries, ensuring accuracy and correct documentation
  • Manage and control warehouse stock, maintaining full traceability and accountability of equipment and materials
  • Issue equipment, tools, and oil to operational staff against assigned job numbers
  • Maintain accurate stock records and report shortages or discrepancies
  • Ensure the warehouse and surrounding areas are kept safe, organised, and compliant at all times
  • Support general warehouse duties as required to meet business needs

Skills And Experience

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, stores, or operational support role
  • Strong organisational and stock control skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to follow procedures and work in line with legislative and health & safety requirements
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with operational teams
  • Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently when required
