Business Unit: NH South West
Location: Taunton
Summary
To carry out general maintenance works and operations, working with a Chargehand, undertaking a wide range of routine and cyclical works. To respond to emergencies and call-outs during or outside working hours as per scheduled rotas, and assist in winter maintenance activities as a second man or driver’s mate. Includes fully qualified apprentices after completing training.

- Abrasive Wheels Certification
- Emergency First Aid
- Safe Dig
- Current driving license
- CSCS card (if client requirement)
- Minimum agreed level of everyday behaviour as stated in the company behaviours matrix
Specialist Skills
- Ability to apply a wide range of generalist skills across trades
- Understanding of risk assessments and implementation of safe systems of work
- Ability to comprehend and execute work informed by specifications
- 12+ months minimum industry experience
- Interest/Potential in obtaining an LGV license
- Training completed in:
- General health & safety awareness
- Risk assessment awareness
- Traffic management knowledge
- Use of PDA devices
- Familiarity with small plant and equipment
- Mini excavator operation

Contract & Working Hours
- Contract Type: Permanent
- Hours: Full-time (39 hrs/week) – Monday to Friday
