Waste Management Operator – Autoclave Handler (Production/Logistics Role)

What to Expect Key Responsibilities

As a Waste Management Operator, this role involves:

  • Container & Documentation Management

    • Checking and verifying medical waste containers
    • Ensuring compliance with paperwork
  • Heavy Lifting & Transportation

    • Moving/unloading waste containers
    • Operating a forklift to load an autoclave (pressure chamber for waste processing)
  • Autoclave Operations

    • Using and operating our pressure vessel machines to melt/sterilise regulated waste
  • Weighing & Logistics

    • Weighing incoming sharps and medical waste containers via our weighbridge system

    • Pushing/pulling waste carts and maintaining good warehouse housekeeping
    • Thorough attention to detail, particularly with processing documentation
    • Ability to stand prolonged periods comfortably (this is a key physical requirement)
