Field Service Technician – Integrated Power Services (IPS)

Are you a hands-on problem solver who loves to travel and provide exceptional customer service? Integrated Power Services (IPS) is seeking a dynamic Field Service Technician to join our team.

In this role, no day will be the same. You’ll troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment while delivering top-notch service to our customers. You’ll work alongside some of the best technicians in the industry, utilising the latest technology tools and equipment. Responsibilities & Expectations

We are looking for a talented Field Service Technician to perform service, diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance. IPS Field Service Technicians demonstrate strong repair skills and commit to providing an Unmatched Customer Experience.

  • Work safely alone and as part of a team
  • Closely adhere to all safety standards and procedures
  • Effectively contribute to a strong team environment by assisting teammates in achieving mutual goals
  • Inspect and test various electro-mechanical equipment
  • Perform electrical tests using portable electronic equipment
  • Install/remove AC and DC electric motors, use laser alignment equipment, read precision measuring tools such as micrometres, replace sleeve and anti-friction bearings, set seals, air gaps, and torque critical components to proper torque specs
  • Ensure a professional environment through customer-facing skills
  • Complete assigned work in compliance with operational policies and procedures
  • Perform work in adherence to operating policies and procedures

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Baker IR and PI testing experience preferred
  • Ideally, 2+ years of AC/DC motor experience or time served in a similar field
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow directions with precise execution
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, follow standardised work procedures, and apply strong analytical problem-solving dynamics in a continuous improvement environment
  • Ability to collaborate with team members
  • Strong customer focus with professional communication
  • Available and willing to:
    • Work flexible hours, overtime, and weekends as required
    • Be on call
    • Work away from home
  • Ability to perform math functions, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and understanding fractions and percentages
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to travel locally and overnight
