Smartfoot Operatives

Location: Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire

We have an exciting opportunity for Operatives, with all levels of experience, for our Housing Division, working with Smartfoot, our precast modular system.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Working as a smartfoot operative as part of the housing team on construction sites nationwide
  • Reporting into Site Supervisor
  • Be familiar with and demonstrate commitment to the requirements of the Health and Safety Policy.
  • Ensure that near misses, accidents, incidents and other safety concerns are promptly reported to the site supervisor.
  • Assist with inspections of all plant, lifting equipment and recording on the appropriate forms where trained to do so.
  • Be respectful to all people you interact with, treating everyone equally and embracing differences.
  • Conduct self in a way that reflect and promotes the Van Elle company values
  • Understand and act in accordance with Van Elle’s policies and procedures
  • Any other tasks that you may reasonably be required to undertake.

Who We're Looking For

  • Experience working in construction.
  • Previous experience working with a precast ground beam system would be beneficial, however training will be provided dependant on experience
  • Strong work ethic and Punctuality

  • Construction Skills Certificate Scheme (CSCS) card
