Operator (6-month FTC) - rolling contract

Business area: Nestle UK&I
Location: Tutbury, Derbyshire
Immediate start 6-month Rolling Fixed Term Contract
Salary: £40,272.24 (inclusive of shift premium and contractual overtime)
Shift pattern: Various 12-hour patterns inclusive of days and nights

We are recruiting for Operators at our state-of-the-art coffee production plant in Tutbury, Derbyshire.

Nestlé Tutbury Factory in Derbyshire is one of the largest Nestlé factories in Europe after a £250 million investment over the last few years.

The factory produces several of the most well-known Nescafé products in the world through freeze-dried, spray dried and pod coffee production technologies and is at the forefront of coffee production globally. This is also the home of Nescafe Dolce Gusto production in the UK!

Your impact
Ultimately, you will support the day-to-day operations of our Factory, ensuring efficient and accurate handling of goods.

Other key responsibilities:

  • Ensure high safety standards are adhered to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Responsible for following inbound and outbound schedule by pallet retrieving, marshalling and loading pallets as per defined SOPs.
  • Load or unload trailers by driving suitable MHEs through loading docks or loading bays.
  • Support with factory activities with movements of materials within the plant.

Your ingredients for success
To be successful in this role you will already have experience within a warehouse or distribution centre environment.

This role will require a valid FLT Counterbalance licence. Applicants without this will not be considered.

  • Will have at least 2 years previous experience working in a Logistics or Warehousing role
  • Will have the ability to work as part of a cell team delivering compliance in safety and stock management (with SAP)
  • Will be able to demonstrate the Nestle competencies and behaviours
  • Will have good numeracy and literacy skills and a knowledge of computer systems including Word, Excel and SAP
