We are a welcoming department with a great nursing team working harmoniously with each other and the rest of the Oxford Ophthalmology clinical and non-clinical staff groups.

About You

To be our chosen applicant you must be an exceptional nurse who has some leadership experience at band 5 or above as well as sound knowledge and skills for the care of patients with eye conditions. In addition, you will be an outstanding role model delivering a high standard of care whilst supporting more junior staff and contributing to service development.

We would like you to have an ophthalmology-specific post-registration qualification or be working towards this.

These attributes will enable you to happily and competently deliver great care in some or all of the following:

Reasons to use Rodeo

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

It searches the market for you

Every day your agent scans the market matching roles against what actually matters to you, not just keywords on a CV.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

  • Eye Emergency Care (including telephone triage)
  • Pre-operative assessment
  • Nurse-led outpatient clinical activity
  • Lead and support junior staff and students
  • Work collaboratively with all members of the Ophthalmic Multidisciplinary Team
  • Contribute to service improvement in the specialty.
