Optical Assistant

Optical Assistant – Oliver Peoples

Timeless design. California heritage. Considered precision.

Oliver Peoples was founded in 1987, with its first boutique in West Hollywood, California. Rooted in a vintage heritage aesthetic and inspired by the culture of Los Angeles – fashion, film, art and music – the brand is known for refined design, exceptional materials, exclusive product details and superior lens technology.

In store, that reputation is protected and elevated through every detail. From the way we welcome clients to the precision behind every fit, to the confidence we give our customers in their vision – nothing is rushed, nothing is overlooked.

We’re looking for an Optical Assistant who understands that true luxury lies in the details, and who can deliver an experience that feels calm, precise and quietly exceptional.

What You’ll Do

You’ll deliver a seamless optical experience and uphold the highest standards by:

  • Welcoming customers with warmth and presence, creating a calm and considered environment from the moment they enter
  • Supporting the full optical journey with accuracy and care, ensuring prescriptions, measurements and fittings are executed flawlessly
  • Guiding customers through frame and lens choices with confidence, balancing technical expertise with a refined, personal approach
  • Ensuring every product is presented, adjusted and finished to the highest standard, where precision defines the experience
  • Maintaining an organised, detail-focused approach to compliance, administration and store standards
  • Working in harmony with the wider team to ensure a smooth, elevated experience across every touchpoint
  • Remaining composed and attentive in busy moments, never compromising on quality or care
  • Continuously building knowledge of optical, materials and craftsmanship to strengthen your expertise

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
