Optical Assistant – Passionate & Supportive Roles Across Two Rustington Locations

Specsavers is searching for motivated, skilled individuals with previous optical experience to confidently assist customers from day one. Beyond the work as an Optical Assistant, we offer:

About the Positions
These roles are based across two fantastic Specsavers sites in Rustington:

Main High-Street Store: Located in the heart of the village, this store includes:
- Five fully equipped test rooms
- A dedicated Hearcare room
- Easy access via bus routes and on-street parking
- A well-established team of Optical Assistants, Optometrists, and Hearcare experts

Rustington Sainsbury’s Retail Park Store: A smaller, fast-paced location featuring:
- Two test rooms within a supermarket environment
- Free on-site parking, nearby bus stops, and just a short walk from the train station
- A smaller, adaptable team working in a high-footfall environment

High-Street Team: Comprises a well-established group of Optometrists, Hearcare specialists, and Optical Assistants working collaboratively to create a welcoming environment.

Requirements & Desirable Experience
Essential Skills & Qualities
- Passionate, hard-working, and customer-focused attitude
- Prior optical experience to support confident customer interaction
- Willingness to welcome and assist customers from the moment they enter
Desirable (Not Essential but a Bonus!)
- Customer service experience in a fast-paced environment
- Background in optics or Audiology, understanding key terms, or practical experience
- Ability to thrive in both retail and high-street settings
