  • Full-time hours: 40 hours per week, which includes 1 weekend day

Requirements

To qualify for this Apprenticeship, we require:

  • Educational qualification: GSCE *Maths (Grade 9-4, or A–C)**, or an equivalent qualification
  • Right to work: Must have lived in the EU for 3 years or more, with the legal right to work in the UK

  • Ability to travel: Must be able to commute to the North Shields store daily

Responsibilities

As an Optical Assistant Apprentice, your key duties will include:

  • Customer service: Welcoming customers into the store
  • Bookings & enquiries: Arranging eye tests and pre-screening patients
  • Styling assistance: Offering frame advice and measuring frames where necessary
  • Communications: Managing phone calls efficiently
