Optical Assistant Apprenticeship - Peterborough Specsavers
This gives people of all ages a chance to start an exciting career, while earning a full-time wage. Roles include booking customers in for eye tests, pre-screening, and recommending suitable frames. We are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic about providing great customer service and would like to pursue a career in optics.
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
Responsibilities
- Giving customers top-notch advice (as well as a warm welcome to the store)
- Booking eye tests
- Pre-screening patients and measuring frames
- Making sure everything runs as smoothly as possible by looking out for any little problems that crop-up

Requirements
- GCSE in Maths (grade 9-4 (A*- C))
- The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know if you share other relevant qualifications and industry experience.
- Ability to travel to the store location on a daily basis.
