Optical Assistant – Gloucester Store

Are you a caring individual looking to continue your career as an Optical Assistant? You’ve come to the right place.

We’re looking for passionate, hard-working individuals with some previous optical experience, ready to confidently welcome and help customers as they walk through our doors. Once you’ve found your feet, you won’t just stop there—we offer professional training and development in other business areas, along with the support of experienced Opticians and Technicians to help you progress.


Our Store

The Gloucester Specsavers store is a busy environment based in the popular Eastgate Shopping Centre. It benefits from:

Our Team

The Gloucester Specsavers store operates with a large, experienced team of approximately 55–60 colleagues, creating a dynamic and fast-paced working environment. The team includes:

  • Optometrists
  • Dispensing Opticians
  • Optical Assistants
  • Support roles, all working together to ensure smooth daily operations

A supportive culture of collaboration and knowledge-sharing means our team thrives, with opportunity for progression at every level.

Desirable Experience (Sets You Apart)

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced customer service environment
  • Optics or Audiology business experience
  • Basic knowledge/experience of optical and/or Audiology terminology
