Role Description
As an Optical Assistant at Specsavers in Altrincham, you will support customers throughout their visit, from initial welcome to collection of their eyewear. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Greeting customers
- Managing appointments
- Guiding customers through frame and lens selection
- Providing clear information about products, services, and pricing
You will assist with basic pre-screening tests under the supervision of qualified practitioners, help maintain accurate records, and ensure the store is clean, organized, and well-presented. The role also involves:
- Resolving customer queries
- Supporting aftercare services
- Working closely with the optical team to deliver excellent customer experiences
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Altrincham.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction skills to ensure a positive experience for every visitor.
- Candidates should possess excellent Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Candidates should possess an interest in Optometry and a willingness to learn about optical products and clinical procedures.
- Candidates should possess attention to detail, basic computer literacy, and the ability to follow processes accurately.
- Candidates should possess a collaborative mindset, reliability in a fast-paced retail healthcare environment, and flexibility to work weekends or evenings as needed.

Previous experience in retail, healthcare, or customer-facing roles is beneficial; training will be provided for optical-specific tasks.
