Your Role

Single vision glasses are priced the same as varifocals, and there are no extra costs for anti-scratch or thinner lenses. With access to the wider Asda network, you’ll receive clinical support from our Home Office teams, plus guidance from a dedicated team of Area Managers to maximise your success.
Regular performance reviews and business updates will keep you on track for continued growth in the role.
Rota Schedule
- Saturday: 08:45–18:15
- Tuesday: 08:45–18:15
- Wednesday: 08:45–18:15
- Thursday: 09:45–19:15
- Friday: 08:45–18:15

Key Responsibilities
- Leading and overseeing a team of Optometrists and Optical assistants
- Ensuring compliance with clinical processes and procedures
- Monitoring sales forecasting and departmental targets
- Handling customer queries efficiently
- Managing clinic operations for optimal service delivery
- Collaborating closely with an Optometrist on patient care
- Coaching and developing your team to drive high-performance standards
Given the fast-paced environment, your ability to be organised and time-management skilled is critical.
Requirements
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Fully qualified dispensing optician, registered with the General Optical Council (GOC)
- ** proactive track record meeting the statutory points requirement for Continuing Professional Development (CPD)**
- Demonstrated leadership skills in a dynamic Optics and retail environment
- Proven ability to coach and mentor staff effectively
- Strong commitment to excelent customer and patient service
