Your Role

Supported by our Home Office clinical teams and Area Managers, you’ll receive regular business updates, feedback, and guidance to excel in this role.
Weekly Rota
Week 1:
- Monday: 09:00 – 17:30
- Tuesday: 11:00 – 19:30
- Wednesday: 09:00 – 17:30
- Friday: 09:00 – 17:30
- Saturday: 09:00 – 17:30
Week 2:
- Monday: 09:00 – 17:30
- Tuesday: 09:00 – 17:30
- Wednesday: 09:00 – 17:30
- Thursday: 11:00 – 19:30
- Friday: 09:00 – 17:30

About You
As an Optical Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the department, ensuring high-quality patient service through:
- Team Leadership:
- Managing a team of Optometrists and Optical Assistants.
- Coaching and developing staff with confidence.
- Operational Excellence:
- Enforcing compliance with processes and procedures.
- Reviewing sales forecasting and department targets.
- Efficient Management:
- Dealing with customer queries.
- Optimising the shop floor and clinic operations.
This role demands organisation, adaptability, and the ability to manage a fast-paced caseload effectively.
Key Requirements
To succeed in this Optical Manager role, you’ll need to be:
- A fully qualified dispensing optician registered with the GOC.
- On track to meet the statutory CPD points requirement.
- Confident in coaching and developing team members.
- Passionate about excellent customer and patient care.
- Driven and ambitious, ensuring departmental targets are met.
- Proven leadership experience within a fast-paced optical environment.
- Highly organised with strong time-management skills.
