Job Outline
A Mechanical Design Engineer will join our dynamic engineering team, taking responsibility for designing mechanical solutions aligned with business requirements—making a tangible impact on precision manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities

Ensuring quality & dimensional accuracy Design components to tolerance standards and production deadlines, with support from Senior Technicians under company protocols.

Tooling & Preparation Select, inspect, and prepare tooling for high-precision manufacturing, minimizing costly component losses through efficiency and rework optimization.

Process excellence Maintain optimal quality throughout production stages via inspection, adjustment, and machinery calibrations. Conduct rework on damaged components to reduce waste. Instruct team members in safe, effective machinery use.

Efficiency & Maintenance Set up machinery to ensure smooth, effective production. Clean and maintain workstations and equipment according to industry standards.

Personal Specification
Essential:
- Industry experience in manufacturing
- Strong mechanical aptitude with a solid grasp of mechanical principles.
Desirable:
- NVQ Level 3 / A-Levels equivalent.
- Foundational knowledge in both conventional and CNC machining.
- Familiarity with AS9100 industry standards (defense/aerospace compliance).
- Flexibility to adapt to evolving requirements.
