Optimisation Analyst

Commercial Optimisation Analyst – Vehicle Remarketing

About The Role

Motability Operations are currently recruiting for a Commercial Optimisation Analyst to join their team in Bristol on a full-time, permanent basis.

You’ll play a key role in evolving how pricing and channel strategy drives value across one of the UK’s largest vehicle remarketing operations.

Working within the Vehicle Remarketing (VRM) Pricing team and reporting to the Pricing Team Manager, you’ll lead and support pricing and channel optimisation initiatives aimed at maximising resale performance across approximately 300,000 ex-lease vehicles sold annually into the used vehicle market.

Core Responsibilities

You’ll work closely with Pricing, Customer Development, MI, Product, and Technology teams to:

  • Improve pricing decisions
  • Optimise channel performance
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through scalable, insight-driven solutions

Additionally, you’ll support:

  • The future evolution of pricing capability
  • Working with Product teams to explore opportunities in automation, AI, and advanced analytics to enhance pricing effectiveness and decision support

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Lead pricing and channel optimisation initiatives delivering measurable commercial value
  • Identify opportunities to improve resale performance, pricing effectiveness, and channel allocation through data-led insights
  • Collaborate across functions to implement scalable process and capability improvements
  • Support enhancements to stock selection and channel allocation logic
  • Recommend and implement pricing process simplifications
  • Monitor initiative performance post-implementation to ensure value continuity
  • Contribute to improvements in pricing methodologies and decision frameworks
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships and communicate data-backed recommendations clearly

Minimum Requirements

  • Analytical experience in commercial optimisation, pricing, or vehicle remarketing environments.
  • Interest in market dynamics, pricing strategy, or customer behaviour.
  • Confidence in analysing data and deriving actionable insight for commercial decision-making.
  • Proven track record in leading or supporting initiatives, trials, or process improvements with quantifiable results.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and influence-building skills, using data and rationale to persuade stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, balancing autonomy with accountability.
  • Exposure to collaborating with Product, Technology, Data, or Operational teams.
