BHFT is a proprietary algorithmic trading firm. Our team manages the full trading cycle, from software development to creating and coding strategies and algorithms.
We trade across a broad range of asset classes, including:

We employ both High-Frequency Trading (HFT) and Medium-Frequency Trading (MFT) strategies while continuously experimenting with new markets and technologies.

Job Description: Mid-Senior Quant Researcher (Options Focus)
We seek a Mid-Senior Quant Researcher specializing in options, capable of transitioning original strategy ideas into fully automated production strategies for TradFi markets while collaborating closely with traders.
Your mandate is to contribute to revamping our options quoting/pricing engine, ensuring it pricing effectively across all strikes, expiries, and underlyings, driven by a relative-value approach to implied volatility, and facilitating a unified delta order book structure (spanning spot, futures, and option legs).

Key Responsibilities

End-to-End Options Strategy Workflow
- Formulating hypotheses, collecting data, constructing models, backtesting, deploying to production, and live monitoring/iteration.

Unified Volatility & Surface Fitting
- Build and scale a highly robust volatility fitting engine, capable of calibrating arbitrage-free, temporally stable surfaces (e.g. SVI, SSVI, or custom alternatives) across fragmented data challenges, including:
- Bid/Ask distribution gaps
- Missing strikes/risks
- Expiry/latency noise
- Illiquid strike adjustments
- Build and scale a highly robust volatility fitting engine, capable of calibrating arbitrage-free, temporally stable surfaces (e.g. SVI, SSVI, or custom alternatives) across fragmented data challenges, including:

Execution-Informed Strategy Conversion

Systematically route delta-based order flow while minimising:
- Greek risk
- Inventory mismatches
- Market impact (Vega, Gamma, Skew sensitivity)

Adapt a dynamic quoting strategy, considering:
- Inventory/position exposure
- Liquidity microsurfaces
- Queue-driven latency risks

Medium-Frequency Trading Development (MFT)
- Build automated strategies with explicit live performance focus

Technical Fit
- Python fluency (mandatory)

- Experience with QuantLib and/or proprietary engine calibration environments
