About the Role

We are looking for a passionate Optometrist to join our team at:

  • Charles Morris Optometrists (Sutton Colfield)
  • Peter Jackson Opticians (Wigston)

You’ll play a key role in delivering outstanding eye care by:

  • Providing expert consultations and advice for patients
  • Fitting and supervising a wide range of contact lenses
  • Ensuring patients feel confident, comfortable, and cared for during their visits

This role is ideal for someone who: ✔ Loves the clinical aspects of optometry ✔ Builds trust with patients from diverse backgrounds ✔ Thrives in a supportive team, collaborating to enhance patient care without being rushed

We offer independence, time, and resources to perform at a high standard under GOC and company guidelines. Your role includes:

  • Conducting thorough eye examinations
  • Delivering personalised solutions tailored to patients’ lifestyles and needs
  • Addressing clinical or technical queries
  • Liaising with external professionals when needed
  • Maintaining practice equipment
  • Contributing your expertise to practice improvements

Additional Details

  • Location: Sutton Colfield (Charles Morris Optometrists) & Wigston (Peter Jackson Opticians)
  • Equipment & processes: Oct believes in our practice include OCT scanners, with full pre-screening by our dispensing team before consultations
  • Requirements: You must be registered with the GOC (or equivalent governing body) to apply.
  • Working pattern: Alternate Saturdays, in addition to two weekdays per practice, with 30-minute appointment slots.
