An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our patient-focused, experienced Optometry team.

This is a secondary care post that will suit those who have carried out a pre-registration post in a hospital or are keen to develop their clinical skills in a fully supportive environment. The post holder will work alongside experienced clinical colleagues in the delivery of core optometry services.

You will work within our multidisciplinary team and provide core optometry services including:

  • Adult and pediatric (cycloplegic) refraction and fundoscopy
  • Medical contact lenses
  • Low vision services

Full training will be given.

It is anticipated that as part of your career progression you will want to work towards extended roles such as:

  • Glaucoma
  • Medical retina
  • Eye Emergency
  • Visual Electrophysiology
  • Intravitreal injections
