Optometrist Vacancy - Weygang Opticians Quedgeley
If you are an enthusiastic, self-motivated optometrist looking for an independent friendly community practice, we are also looking for you! Weygang Opticians, Hucclecote, is a two consulting room practice, located in a suburb of Gloucester where you will quickly build up relationships with your patients.
You will be part of a small and welcoming practice team and also part of our supportive group of three similar practices. We’re proud to be an independent practice where patient care comes first.
About the role
We are looking for an Optometrist to work in our Quedgeley practice. This is a role for someone who values the clinical side of the job, who enjoys building trust with patients from a variety of backgrounds, and who thrives in a team that supports each other. You’ll have the time, tools and autonomy to do your job to a high standard, without feeling rushed or restricted.
You’ll play a key role in providing expert advice, enhanced services, fitting a wide range of contact lenses, and carrying out thorough eye examinations, providing tailored services and solutions for each patient’s lifestyle and needs. You’ll support the team by resolving clinical or technical queries. Your role also includes liaising with external professionals, maintaining practice equipment, and contributing your knowledge and ideas to the ongoing success of the practice.

No Sunday or even Saturday afternoon working, though you will be expected to work some Saturday mornings. While we would prefer someone who can be available for at least three weekdays, we welcome all applications to be discussed on a case by case basis.

Additional Information:
- You must be registered with the GOC or appropriate governing body in order to apply for this role
- This is a permanent position working Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and some Saturdays mornings
- Salary based on experience
- Our appointment times are currently 45 minutes
- Our equipment includes OCT
- Practice opening hours 9.00-5.30 weekdays, Saturdays 9.00-1.00, no Sunday opening.
