Position: Optometrist

Location: Colwyn Bay, North Wales

Salary: Up to £70,000 depending on experience

Working hours: Full or part-time working patterns available

Experience level: Open to both newly qualified and experienced Optometrists who are registered with the GOC

We are looking for another Optometrist to join our team at Specsavers, Colwyn Bay where we use the latest technology to allow our clinicians to improve patient outcomes. We have been serving our community for 18 years and are dedicated to ensuring that every one of our customers receives an excellent patient experience. If you are an Optometrist ready to use your passion and knowledge to help us build on our ever-growing and loyal customer base we would love to hear from you.

If required, we will help to support you with registration with NHS Wales and would fund WECS training

With a focus on flexibility, we are open to full-time and part-time applicants and will consider different working patterns that suit you. We can also offer full-time hours across 4 days, if you would prefer, to give you a better work life balance.

We’re fully equipped with 5 test rooms, the latest clinical technology (including OCT), and a team of 26 – which includes fully trained optical assistants, so everything is in place to let you focus on what you do best.

Location

Located on the north coast of Wales and overlooking the Irish Sea, Colwyn Bay is a town and seaside resort situated in Conwy County Borough, which is about a 40-minute drive from Chester. Although it falls within the historic county of Denbighshire, Colwyn Bay has grown significantly over time to become the second-largest community and business centre in the northern part of Wales, as well as the 14th largest in the country. Our store is conveniently located adjacent to the train station, and just off the A55. Colwyn Bay is easily accessible from Chester to Bangor and everywhere in between.

What We’re Looking For

Alongside being a qualified and GOC registered Optometrist, we are searching for someone who shares our store’s ethos. Someone who wants to grow, develop and offer exceptional customer care along the way. We want a practitioner who prides themselves on their clinical judgment, that isn’t afraid of a hands-on approach and who is keen to get involved and build rapport with the rest of the team. In summary, we’re looking for a skilled resident Optometrist to join us, be part of the team and assist in driving our practice forward.
