Key Responsibilities
- Conduct eye examinations, contact lens fittings, and extended service examinations
- Support the Dispensing Optician Manager with training, coaching, and maintaining departmental standards
- Deliver a wide range of eye care services, including monitoring and treatment of eye conditions, under NHS contracts
- Uphold clinical excellence and ensure our team adheres to best practice protocols

Week 1
- Saturday – 09:00 – 17:30
- Monday to Thursday – 09:00 – 17:30
Week 2
- Monday to Thursday – 09:00 – 17:30
- Friday – 09:00 – 17:30
Requirements
Essential Criteria
- A fully qualified Optometrist with GOC registration
- Registered performer status from your NHS area team or health board
- MECs or WECs accreditation (or willingness to gain accrued within 12 months — fully funded and supported by Asda)
- On track with GOC statutory CPD points requirement
- Evidence of right to work in the UK
- Commitment to delivering a memorable customer experience with passion for eye care
Wales-Specific Additional Requirements
- Evidence of WECS accreditation and WGOS module accreditation
