About the Role
Are you an experienced Optometrist looking for a new opportunity in a thriving and supportive environment? Join our fabulous team at Bayfields Opticians & Audiologists, part of an independent practice offering exceptional patient care with professional excellence.
We are seeking a fully qualified and experienced Optometrist (registered with the GOC) for a 4-day, 32-hour per week rotation:
- Week 1: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday
- Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday (9:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
At Bayfields Opticians & Audiologists, we provide: ✔ 45-minute eye exams, allowing you to thoroughly assess and personalise each client’s needs and lifestyle. ✔ Latest diagnostic equipment and cutting-edge solutions in contact lenses, spectacle lenses, and frames. ✔ A personalised "Welcome, Discover, Delight" client journey to create lifelong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide detailed, 45-minute eye examinations to understand each client’s vision and lifestyle needs.
- Tailor eye care recommendations according to GOC guidelines and current professional standards.
- Deliver exceptional clinical care with a focus on building long-term relationships with clients.
- Maintain and utilise the practice’s leading diagnostic technology and advanced optical solutions.
- Collaborate with the friendly and supportive team to ensure smooth operations and patient satisfaction.
Person Specification
- Qualified and registered with the General Optical Council (GOC).
- Proven experience in providing comprehensive eye assessments.
- Passion for excellence in clinical care and client-focused service.
- Strong medical knowledge (with an understanding of lenses, eye health, and framing trends).
- Ability to demonstrate great interpersonal skills and build Rapport with clients.
