Job Details

Location: Stevenage Employment Type: Part-Time (Permanent Contract) Hours per Week: 28 Shift Pattern: Rotating days (see details below) Salary: Competitive starting salary with benefits package (extra details below Everything You’ll Love) Closing Date: 4 September 2024

Requirements:

  • Must have evidence of Right to Work in the UK
  • Must be General Optical Council (GOC) registered for the applicable role
  • Provided NHS performer list for nation of application (and clinical references)
  • If applicable: NHS Extended Care (MECS/WECS/WGOS) accreditation (or willingness to train within 12 months, fully supported by Asda)

About the Role

At Asda Opticians, we believe in making the health, wellbeing, and experience of every customer our top priority. This Optometrist role at our Stevenage store offers the perfect opportunity to deliver excellent healthcare and customer service while adding value to a dynamic team.

As part of our NHS Extended Community Contract, your role will include: ✔ Conducting eye examinations (routine and contact lenses) ✔ Simultaneous extended services exams, including lower limb monitoring and more ✔ Collaborating with the Dispensing Optician Manager to uphold high service standards ✔ Participation in departmental training and coaching for colleagues ✔ Contributing to the care path for NHS-accredited services (additional training supported by Asda)

(Note: Flexible work patterns align with Asda’s store opening hours.)

Your Experience

Required: 👉 Full GOC registration, linked to the applied professional role 👉 Evidence of NHS Extended Care (MECS/WECS/WGOS) accreditation (or commitment to gain funding with Asda support within 12 months)

Additional Considered Assets: 𝗠ental health experience: Ideal for store management of add-on services and established trusts 𝗖ontinual Professional Development (CPD success and tracking)
