See Yourself in Scone.

We’re looking for an experienced optometrist to join our practice in Scone – a tight-knit regional town in the Upper Hunter with deep community roots, a loyal patient base, and room to live a balanced life. Known as the Horse Capital of Australia, Scone blends open spaces, a strong sense of local identity, and proximity to Newcastle and Sydney without the noise or pace of either.

About The Role

This is a rare opportunity to step into an established practice where your clinical decisions are trusted, your time with patients is protected, and your voice helps shape the future of care. You’ll have the support to deliver best-practice optometry, and the freedom to pursue your interests in areas like ocular disease and dry eye management.

About The Practice

  • Centrally located in the heart of Scone’s shopping precinct
  • Equipped with advanced diagnostic technology including OCT, fundus imaging, visual fields, and rebound tonometry
  • 30-minute appointments as standard
  • A friendly and supportive dispensing team who understands your clinical flow
  • Genuine autonomy backed by a national network
  • A multigenerational patient base who value continuity and care

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
