Optometrist Partner Opportunity – Maldon & South Woodham Ferrers

Are you ready to take the next step in your career and become a business owner? We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Optometrist to join our established partnership, owning and leading two successful practices alongside two existing partners Jan and Mike in Maldon and South Woodham Ferrers.

These thriving stores serve a growing and diverse patient base across an affluent part of Essex. Maldon enjoys a prime High Street location with strong daily footfall, while South Woodham Ferrers benefits from being situated within a busy Sainsbury’s store. Both locations continue to perform strongly and offer significant opportunities for future growth.

It’s because of that growth that we’re looking for a third partner to join the business to take it to the next level!

What’s On Offer?

  • 33% shareholding in both stores
  • £150,000 for shares
  • Partnership alongside experienced and supportive existing partners
  • The autonomy of being your own boss, with the security of an excellent salary
  • Profit share through dividends
  • The opportunity to build a long-term investment for your future
  • Pension contribution
  • The chance to make a meaningful difference in your local community
  • Access to industry-leading clinical technology
  • Ongoing support from a trusted global brand

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
