Principal Oracle HCM Solution Architect
Location: United Kingdom (Hybrid / Remote with UK Client Travel)
Salary: Up to £110,000 + Benefits

As we continue our growth, we are looking for an experienced Principal Oracle HCM Solution Architect to lead enterprise Oracle HCM solution design across complex transformation programmes.
The Role
This is a senior customer-facing consulting position responsible for leading the functional solution design across Oracle Cloud HCM implementations.
You will work closely with executive stakeholders, programme teams and delivery consultants to define enterprise HCM solutions that align with business strategy while ensuring Oracle best practice is adopted throughout the implementation lifecycle.
You will also play a key role in supporting pre-sales activities, shaping delivery approaches and mentoring consultants across the wider practice.

Enterprise Oracle HCM Solution Architecture
- Own end-to-end solution architecture across the Oracle HCM suite including:
- Core HR
- Talent Management
- Recruitment
- Learning
- Payroll
- Absence Management
- Workforce Management
- Compensation
- Benefits
- Journeys
- Help Desk
- Oracle AI capabilities within HCM
- Design scalable enterprise-wide solutions aligned to Oracle Cloud best practice.
- Balance customer requirements against standard Oracle functionality to minimise customisation.
Client Advisory & Business Consulting
- Lead executive workshops and discovery sessions.
- Challenge existing business processes and recommend industry best practice.
- Build trusted relationships with HR Directors, CIOs and Programme Sponsors.
- Provide strategic advice throughout transformation programmes.
- Translate business vision into practical Oracle Cloud solutions.

Solution Ownership & Governance
- Own the overall functional solution throughout the project lifecycle.
- Produce and maintain:
- Solution Design Documents
- Architecture Decisions
- Process Flows
- Functional Specifications
- Design Standards
- Governance artefacts
- Ensure consistency across multiple workstreams.
- Lead design authority and governance meetings.
Offshore Delivery Enablement
- Translate business requirements into detailed user stories and functional specifications.
- Produce clear design packs for offshore delivery teams.
- Provide functional leadership throughout build activities.
- Support consultants with solution clarification and issue resolution.
- Ensure delivery aligns with agreed architecture and quality standards.
Quality Assurance & Programme Leadership
- Review Oracle configurations.
- Lead functional quality assurance activities.
- Support SIT and UAT planning.
- Review defects and solution impacts.
- Provide senior stakeholder updates.
- Act as the functional design authority across programmes.
Pre-Sales & Business Development
- Support client demonstrations.
- Contribute to bids and proposals.
- Shape solution approaches during procurement.
- Participate in customer workshops.
- Represent Sera Neon at Oracle and industry events.
Practice Development
- Mentor Solution Architects and Functional Consultants.
- Contribute to delivery standards and accelerators.
- Develop reusable assets and best practices.
- Support internal capability development.
- Promote Oracle innovation including AI capabilities.
Practice Leadership & Innovation
- Define HCM delivery standards, contribute to the Centre of Excellence, evaluate new Oracle Cloud and AI capabilities, and drive continuous improvement across methodologies, accelerators, and reusable assets.

- Extensive Oracle Cloud HCM implementation experience.
- Experience leading enterprise-scale Oracle HCM programmes.
- Strong knowledge across multiple Oracle HCM modules.
- Proven experience leading client workshops.
- Experience producing enterprise solution architecture documentation.
- Experience working with offshore delivery teams.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Experience reviewing solution quality throughout delivery.
- Experience supporting bids and pre-sales activities.
- Ability to influence senior customer stakeholders.
Desirable Experience
- Oracle Cloud Certification.
- Experience across Public Sector.
- Knowledge of Oracle Redwood UX.
- Oracle AI for HCM.
- Oracle Digital Assistant / AI Agent Studio awareness.
- Integration knowledge (OIC).
- Security and HCM data migration awareness.
- Experience of Payroll legislation.
- Agile delivery experience.
