Your Role & Responsibilities (Application Developer – Oracle eBS Specialisation)
As an Application Developer specialising in Oracle eBS, you’ll leverage your technical expertise to contribute to the design, development, and support of application solutions aligned with client requirements. Your work will span:
- Solution Development & Support
- Design, develop, and support Oracle eBS application solutions tailored to client needs.
- Utilise Oracle tools (Designer, Discover, Forms, JDeveloper, Reports) to create:
- Reports
- Interfaces
- Data conversions
- Enhancements
- Re-engineer complex application components and integrate reusable objects across platforms.
- Ensure high-quality, efficient, and maintainable solutions adhering to Oracle eBS standards and industry best practices.

Collaborative Problem-Solving & Communication
- Work closely with functional consultants and business users to resolve challenges.
- Act as a single point of contact for stakeholders during data migration.
- Produce written reports on data migration outcomes, ensuring clarity and alignment.

- Prioritise data integrity and accuracy in all deliverables.
- Iterate on processes to improve efficiency and reduce risks.
Requirements
Preferred Education
- Bachelor’s Degree (Any discipline)
Required Technical & Professional Expertise (Must-Have)
- 5+ years of experience delivering Data Migration in an Oracle Cloud environment.
- Deep knowledge of the Oracle Cloud Data Model.
- Minimum 3 full Oracle Cloud Implementation cycles.
- Strong multi-tasking and independent work abilities.
- Client-facing, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness to travel to client sites.
Core Technical Proficiency in Oracle-Specific Data Migration Tools:
- FBDI (Financials Business Drivers Import)
- ADFDI (Oracle Data Federation Import)
- Oracle Cloud REST & SOAP APIs (for data loading and validation)
Preferred Technical & Professional Experience (Advantageous)
- ETL (Extraction, Transformation, Loading) expertise, including:
- Migrating data from legacy systems (primarily Oracle EBS) to Oracle Fusion ERP and HCM.
- Data cleansing, mapping, and validation processes.
- Troubleshooting data migration issues and implementing corrective actions.
- PL/SQL coding for extraction, transformation, and reconciliation reporting.
- Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) proficiency.
- Reconciliation activities to ensure data integrity post-migration.
- Collaboration with functional teams to understand data structures and business rules.
- Documentation of mapping, data flow diagrams, and validation rules for audit purposes.

Oracle eBS & Fusion Specialisms:
- SaaS HCM experience (Core, Absence, Performance, Case Work, Learning & Development, Oracle Recruitment, Project Resource Deployment, Strategy Workforce Planning).
- Proficiency in ODA (Oracle Data Analytics) and OUA (Oracle User Acceptance) frameworks.
- Strong understanding of Oracle Payroll, Journeys, and ODA.
Soft Skills & Cultural Fit:
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Clear documentation of processes, tools, and validation procedures.
- Ability to liaise effectively between technical developers, functional consultants, and business users.
- Client-service mindset with a track record of relationship-building.
Security Requirements
This role is subject to UK Government pre-employment screening in compliance with the Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS).
Depending on the outcome, further National Security Vetting (NVS) may apply, including scrutiny for:
- The Security Check (SC)
- Developed Vetting (DV)
