Oracle Database Administrator
Work on Technology That Protects What Matters At SiXworks, we build secure digital solutions that support Defence and National Security missions. Our teams work on complex problems where reliability, security, and speed of innovation matter. We’re looking for an Oracle Database Administrator who enjoys solving difficult technical challenges and wants their work to have real operational impact.
What You’ll Do As an Oracle Database Administrator, you’ll manage, secure, and optimise mission‑critical Oracle databases in a high‑security public‑sector environment. Your work may include: Install, configure, patch, and upgrade Oracle Database Manage backup/recovery (RMAN), monitoring, performance tuning, and DR. Administer users, roles, auditing, and security hardening. Support high‑availability setups (RAC/Data Guard). Troubleshoot incidents and provide on‑call support.

Strong Oracle DBA experience in secure or regulated environments. SQL/PLSQL expertise, Linux skills, and automation/scripting exposure. Experience with RAC, ASM, performance optimisation, and secure configurations. Familiarity with public‑sector security standards and operational controls.
Just as important are curiosity, strong problem solving ability, and the motivation to continuously improve how technology is designed and delivered.
