Oracle Defence Sector Lead

Are you passionate about helping Defence organisations deliver large-scale transformation through technology? Do you have the commercial acumen, strategic mindset and relationship-building skills to identify new opportunities and drive growth?

As Oracle Defence Sector Lead, you will play a pivotal role in growing Sopra Steria's Oracle Practice across the Defence community. Working closely with Defence leadership, Oracle Corporation, alliance partners and client stakeholders, you will develop strategic relationships, shape opportunities, and position Sopra Steria as a trusted partner for Oracle-enabled transformation.

This is a unique opportunity to lead the growth strategy for a key market, influencing major programmes across Oracle Cloud, ERP, HCM, SCM, EPM, Data & AI, Integration and Managed Services, while helping Defence clients achieve their digital transformation ambitions.

This role is hybrid variable, and can be based anywhere in the UK, with some office and client travel required.

What you'll be doing:

  • Develop and deliver the Oracle Practice growth strategy across the Defence sector, driving sales, revenue and pipeline growth.
  • Build and maintain senior client relationships, positioning Sopra Steria as a trusted partner for Oracle-enabled transformation.
  • Identify, qualify and shape new Oracle opportunities across Cloud, ERP, HCM, SCM, EPM, Data & AI, Integration and Managed Services.
  • Lead strategic account planning, major bids and go-to-market initiatives, working closely with Defence, Oracle and partner stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop innovative propositions, service offerings and solutions that address Defence client challenges.
  • Provide market insight, thought leadership and strategic direction, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and long-term business growth.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
