Oracle EPM Consultant

Base Location: London, Birmingham, or Manchester

The Powered Apps teams are communities of technology-focused professionals delivering SaaS ERP-based transformation programs rooted in KPMG Powered Enterprise. These teams leverage:
- Functional expertise (e.g., Finance, HR, Procurement)
- Cloud application mastery (e.g., Oracle, Workday, Coupa) to:
- Lead and deliver client programs
- Support pre-sales activities
- Develop improvements and extensions to the Powered Enterprise model
KPMG is expanding its Powered Apps team to meet growing demand for its market-leading services. They are seeking IT management consultants with:
- Relevant expertise and experience
- Proven ability to deliver outcomes for clients through Oracle EPM solutions
Key Responsibilities
Core Delivery
🔹 Implementation track record in Oracle EPM products, including:
- Oracle Planning
- Financial Consolidation and Close (FCC)
- PCMCS
- ARCS
- EDMCS
- Leverage business and technology-based solutions to drive outcomes for clients
🔹 System design and delivery expertise:
- Release and integration management
- Data migration strategy and management
🔹 Prior consulting experience delivering Oracle EPM across multiple industries is preferred.
🔹 Financial Services Organization (FSO) insights:
- Target Operating Model, Process & Controls
- Organisation Design
- Change Management
- Business Readiness

Required Functional Skills
Oracle EPM Proficiency
🔹 Must-have experience:
- End-to-end implementation of Oracle EPM products, including Oracle EPMRCS (Enterprise Performance Reporting Cloud Service).
- Technical design/configuration skills for large-scale Oracle Finance EPM transformations.
- Chart of Accounts & Data Model Design exposure.
🔹 Development skills:
- Masters Oracle EPM lifecycle: Planning, budgeting, forecasting, profitability/cost analysis, reporting, and KPI frameworks.
- Understanding of statutory close and consolidation processes.
🔹 Industry breadth:
- Experience in sectors such as Higher Education, Retail, Insurance, Local Government, etc.
🔹 Additional exposure:
- Experience with EDMCS, ARCS technology would be advantageous.
Financial Accounting & ERP Knowledge
🔹 Exposure to Oracle Cloud products, including:
- ERP, SCM, HCM, and Payroll systems.
🔹 Core finance & accounting processes:
- General accounting, corporate consolidation
- Financial planning & analysis (FP&A)
- Accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets
- Management reporting.
EPM Management & Support
🔹 Translates client technical and accounting requirements into Oracle EPM designs. 🔹 Coordinates testing and documentation including:
- Test strategy drafting
- Test scenario and script creation 🔹 Assists:
- End-user training
- Knowledge transfer to technical teams 🔹 Deploys solutions to production and supports post-go-live.
Education & Professional Skills
📜 Education: Degree-level qualification or equivalent.
📊 Analytical & Communication Skills:
- Exceptional reporting, presentation (virtual + in-person), and documentation skills. 📈 MS Office proficiency:
- Excel (advanced), PowerPoint, and Microsoft Projects. 🔍 Problem-solving:
- Analytical habilidades for synthesizing and presenting complex challenges.
- Produces project deliverables including:
- Business requirements
- Functional specs
- Configuration and process documentation
- Use cases & requirements traceability matrices.
