About the Role
As an Oracle Flexcube Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in optimising MUFG Investor Services’ core banking platform. We leverage Oracle Flexcube Universal Banking to deliver critical functions such as payments, treasury management, foreign exchange, money markets, nostro reconciliation, and SWIFT connectivity.
This platform has expanded significantly, and there is a major opportunity to bridge the gap between current usage and the full capability of Flexcube. You will collaborate across IT and business teams to:
- Identify underutilised standard features and outdated bespoke components.
- Rationalise technical debt by assessing whether native Flexcube functionality can replace legacy customisations.
- Drive resolution of open configuration, change, and support requests to reduce delays and improve operational efficiency.
Your role is hands-on, requiring technical platform knowledge alongside strong stakeholder management and the ability to produce clear, evidence-backed analysis and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Platform Capability Assessment
- Conduct a structured review of licensed Flexcube modules to uncover unused or underutilised features across:
- Payments
- Standing instructions
- Foreign exchange
- Money markets
- Nostro reconciliation
- Reporting
- Benchmark current usage against the full Flexcube standard capability.
- Deliver a prioritised inventory of gaps, assessed for business value and implementation feasibility.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
