Oracle Fusion Finance Solution Architect
Location: Crawley, UK - 2x a week, rest remote.
Contract role 6 months +++ Inside I35.
We are looking for an experienced Oracle Fusion Finance Solution Architect to support the delivery and ongoing enhancement of Oracle Fusion applications for one of the UK's largest airline organisations.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in designing and delivering enterprise-scale Oracle Fusion Finance solutions, working across functional and technical architecture to ensure robust, scalable, and compliant finance systems.
The Role
As the Oracle Fusion Finance Solution Architect, you will be responsible for the end-to-end solution architecture across Oracle Fusion Finance, ensuring business requirements are translated into integrated, sustainable, and high-performing solutions.
You will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and third-party vendors to deliver best-in-class Oracle Fusion Finance capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Functional Architecture
- Lead the end-to-end functional design of Oracle Fusion Finance solutions.
- Translate business requirements into scalable finance processes.
- Design and configure Oracle Fusion Finance modules including:
- General Ledger (GL)
- Accounts Payable (AP)
- Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Fixed Assets (FA)
- Cash Management
- Subledger Accounting (SLA)
- Design Chart of Accounts (COA), ledgers, legal entities, business units, and balancing segments.
- Produce Functional Design Documents (FDDs), configuration workbooks, process flows, and test scripts.
- Define Subledger Accounting rules and ensure compliance with IFRS and GAAP accounting standards.

Technical Architecture
- Own the end-to-end technical architecture for Oracle Fusion Finance.
- Design and oversee integrations using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
- Develop integration solutions using APIs, file-based interfaces, and event-driven architectures.
- Ensure robust monitoring, error handling, retry mechanisms, and system resilience.
- Support integrations with:
- Banking and payment platforms
- Payroll and HR systems
- Third-party applications
- Lead data migration activities using HDL and HSDL.
- Define reporting, data extraction, and migration strategies.
Essential Skills & Experience

- 10–12 years of Oracle Fusion experience.
- Proven expertise implementing Oracle Fusion Finance solutions.
- Strong experience in solution architecture, design, and blueprint creation.
- Extensive knowledge of Oracle Fusion Financials modules including GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, and Subledger Accounting.
- Experience designing Chart of Accounts (COA) and finance structures.
- Strong understanding of IFRS, GAAP, and taxation principles.
- Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
- Hands-on experience with HDL and HSDL.
- Basic SQL knowledge.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Desirable Skills
- Oracle Fusion Finance Certification.
- Experience delivering global or multi-country Oracle Fusion Finance programmes.
- Knowledge of country-specific statutory taxation requirements.
- Experience supporting AMS or production support environments.
- Exposure to Payroll and HRMS integrations.
