Oracle Infrastructure Engineer
We're looking for an Oracle Infrastructure Engineer for a public sector organisation based in Blackpool or Newcastle (hybrid) on an initial 2-month contract, paying up to £700 per day (Inside IR35).
About the Role
This is a hybrid role with an expectation to attend the office 3 days per week across the Blackpool or Newcastle locations.
The successful Senior Infrastructure Engineer will join an established infrastructure team, bringing deep hands-on expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Exadata to support both BAU operational delivery and more complex design activity. You'll help upskill existing colleagues and take on day-to-day workload, freeing others to focus on strategic priorities. Strong, recent experience across OCI and Exadata gained within the last five years is essential to this role.
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
