If you specialise in UK Oracle Cloud Payroll, then you’re usually in demand, and you’re often the person people turn to when legislation shifts or when RTI behaves unpredictably, or when Fast Formula becomes more art than science.
And because of that, you’re busy, and you’re selective.
We’re looking for a Senior Oracle Cloud Payroll Consultant who has delivered at least three payroll implementations, and ideally two of those have been UK Oracle Cloud Payroll, or you’ve been the in-house Oracle Cloud Payroll expert client side and have led from the front.
You’ll need to understand not only how to configure payroll, but also how it connects into the wider HCM and ERP design because payroll never really sits in isolation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Every day your agent scans the market matching roles against what actually matters to you, not just keywords on a CV.
Why you're a good match
You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
You'd work across public and private sector clients, and you would deal with pensions, auto enrolment, RTI and UK legislation as standard, and you would take ownership of Fast Formula, element design, calculation cards and payroll process flows without needing direction at every turn.
If you have experience with LGPS, TPS or other local government schemes then that’s valuable, and if you’ve led Payroll Parallel Runs and supported data migration conversations then even better.
This isn’t about sitting behind the scenes, because you'd lead workshops, and guide customers through design decisions, and take responsibility for the payroll module from discovery through to go live.

You'd also support pre-sales, or contribute to blogs or case studies, if you enjoy that side of consultancy, but you won’t be pushed into it.
You'd have space to influence how payroll is shaped within the practice, and you would be listened to when you challenge something.
