Senior Consultant – Oracle Cloud WMS (FutureNow – IBM Consulting UK)

Role & Responsibilities

As a Senior Consultant—acting as an integral member of project teams—your core duties include:

  • Contributing to and leading all phases of the consulting lifecycle, including requirement analysis, business process documentation, and solution design.
  • Taking a customer-facing role, engaging with stakeholders in areas such as:
    • Requirement analysis
    • Business process documentation
    • Solution design
  • Guiding project teams in developing, configuring, and deploying solutions while ensuring project deliverables meet expectations.
  • Supporting proposal development, demonstrating solutions to potential customers, and strengthening WMS capabilities and offerings.

As an experienced cloud consultant, you’ll be self-motivated with:

  • Strong functional skills in Oracle WMS Cloud, supported by hands-on expertise—preferably across multiple industries.
  • The ability to work under pressure and effectively communicate with customer stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will join IBM’s premier consulting firm, contributing to cutting-edge cloud implementations across Europe. You’ll work with diverse customers on high-impact Supply Chain implementations.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (degree-level qualification)

Required Technical & Professional Expertise

Minimum Criteria

  • Location: Any UK mainland site
  • 5+ years of functional experience delivering Warehouse Management (WMS) implementations involving Oracle Cloud WMS.
  • 2+ completed Oracle Cloud WMS implementation cycles.
  • 10+ years’ proven track record in delivering Warehouse Management applications.
  • Experience in leading streams of work, mentoring small onshore/offshore teams.
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently.
  • Specialist knowledge of key warehouse processes:
    • Receiving strategies
    • Put-away rules
    • Picking strategies
    • Cross-docking
    • Kitting systems
    • Expiry date management
  • Proven abilities in:
    • Solution design
    • Requirements analysis
    • Functional design
    • Configuration documentation
    • Troubleshooting
    • Integration architecture
  • Collaboration with technical teams for:
    • Interface design
    • Development and testing
  • Strong client-facing communication and relationship management skills.
  • Understanding of application implementation methodologies.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites.

Security Clearance & Screening

This role requires UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). Additional vetting may include:

  • Fulfilling eligibility for Security Check (SC)
  • Developed Vetting (DV) clearance.

Preferred Technical & Professional Experience

  • Experience integrating Oracle Cloud WMS with:
    • Oracle Cloud ERP
    • Other on-premise/cloud applications
  • In-depth domain knowledge of Supply Chain Management (SCM) processes.
  • Experience in other Oracle Cloud SCM products, e.g.:
    • Inventory Management
    • Order Management
  • Pre-sales skills, including:
    • Conducting Proof of Concepts
    • Configuring demo sandboxes
    • Presenting proposals to technical and business audiences
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in fields like:
    • Computer Science
    • Operations Management
    • Engineering
    • Business Administration
  • Oracle Cloud WMS Implementation Certification
  • Existing or willingness to pursue national security clearance.
