Oracle/SQL Database Administrator – SC Cleared
Location: Manchester or Cumbria (hybrid-based contract)
Type: 3-month contract (Inside IR35) Mandatory: Active SC clearance
Role Summary
Oracle/SQL Database Administrator required to maintain, optimise, and secure Oracle and SQL Server databases within a high-security environment. Focused on ensuring performance, availability, and stability of critical business-as-usual services.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, maintain, and tune Oracle and SQL Server databases
- Handle incident management, t trouble-shooting, and root cause analysis
- Execute backups, restores, patching, and upgrades
- Support high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions (e.g. AlwaysOn, Data Guard, RAC)
- Enforce data security and ensure compliance in a secure environment

Key Skills & Experience
- Strong professional experience with Oracle and/or SQL Server DBA
- Expertise in performance tuning and troubleshooting optimisation
- Hands-on knowledge of backup, restore procedures, and HA/DR strategies
- Preferred: Familiarity with ITIL frameworks or managed service environments
