We’d all like amazing work to do, and real work–life balance. That’s waiting for you at Sainsbury’s.

We’re the first to say we do HR differently here. For a start, we work as business partners and specialists — whether that’s making sure nearly 150,000 colleagues are paid on time, or shaping a strategy that helps us attract the right people, put them in the right place, and unlock their potential. This is a fast-moving business, and our policies and rewards evolve with it. That’s why we’re as flexible as we can be about where and when you work. We’re also flexible about your future. There’s always room to move up or across, if that’s what you want. We really value different perspectives, so there’s no one opinion, no single path, and yours matters.

Why join us

Joining the Organisational Change & Culture team at Sainsbury's offers a unique opportunity to drive impactful transformation and shape the future of our business. As an Org Change & Culture Manager, you will play a key role in delivering culture and transformation programmes critical to our business strategy, driving behavioural and leadership changes that enable sustainable growth and innovation. With a focus on change management, behaviour and culture change, you will collaborate with senior business leaders and cross-functional teams to create meaningful change that positively impacts our organisation and supports our commitment to driving positive human-centred organisational change.

What You'll Do

As the Org Change & Culture Manager at Sainsbury's, you will play a crucial role in driving behavioural, leadership, and cultural changes necessary to enable the successful delivery and sustainability of key culture or transformation programmes aligned with the business strategy. You will create change plans, provide coaching to programme leads, and develop change management interventions to support the transformation programmes. Collaborating with the Head of Organisational Change and Culture, you will enhance the business-wide change management approach and ensure a consistent culture and change management delivery across the organisation. Your role will involve tracking and measuring change metrics, producing high-quality change materials, coaching and upskilling stakeholders on driving human-centered change, ultimately contributing to the overall success of organisational change initiatives.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
