About the Company

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Organic Chemist to join our team. The production chemist will play a key role ensuring the efficient and safe manufacturing of chemical products in compliance with quality standards. This role is an excellent opportunity for a chemist with a strong work ethic, passion for chemistry, and the ability to communicate effectively in a dynamic production environment. About the Role

The organic chemist will play a key role ensuring the efficient and safe manufacturing of chemical products in compliance with quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage daily chemical production processes, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Conduct quality control tests on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products to ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of production processes, test results, and materials handling.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot production issues and implement timely solutions.
  • Monitor and optimize chemical manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Assist in the development and improvement of production methods and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations at all times.
  • Train and support production staff on best practices in chemical handling and production processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proven ability to work hard and stay focused under pressure to meet production deadlines.
  • Knowledge of chemical manufacturing protocols, safety standards, and best practices.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in computer programs, including Microsoft Office Suite, for record-keeping and reporting is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a chemical production or manufacturing environment is preferred but not required.

Pay range and compensation package

Salary £30,000 - £40,000
