Organisation Design & Transformation Practitioner

Assistant Organisation Design & Transformation Practitioner

6-month contract | Hybrid working | c£400–£450 per day

Partnering with a leading innovating employer based in Birmingham city centre, we are recruiting for an Assistant Organisation Design & Transformation Practitioner. The role is available immediately.

About the Role

This position provides specialist support in organisation design, diagnostics, and transformation activity. You will enable high-impact organisational reviews to be delivered efficiently, with cross-funcional collaboration to drive change.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Translating organisation design hypotheses into practical models, including:
    • Roles, span of control and organisational layers
    • Reporting structures
    • Capability, cost and workforce implications
  • Developing comparative option analysis (SWOT, risks, trade-offs) to support senior decision-making
  • Supporting business cases and governance documentation for design sprints
  • Collaborating with Organisation Design Practitioners to refine and test ideas between workshops
  • Providing timely, accurate data analysis for transformation reviews
  • Conducting whole-system diagnostics, including:
    • Strategy, processes, culture, skills, KPIs, systems and working practices
  • Designing diagnostic assessments on:
    • Spans of control, management ratios
    • Grade mix, role clarity and structural effectiveness
  • Creating insight packs, reports, dashboards and workshop materials
  • Supporting transformation baselining, tracking, trend analysis, benefits and risk reporting

Requirements & Skills

A strong data-driven professional with experience in:

  • HR, organisation design, people analytics or transformation environments
  • Designing/supporting organisational diagnostics (surveys, research, benchmarking)
  • Advanced analytical skills to interpret complex data and derive clear, actionable insights
  • Proficiency in data tools (Excel, Power BI, statistical/visualisation tools)
  • Ability to present findings to non-technical stakeholders with compelling reports, dashboards and visuals
  • Understanding of:
    • Organisation design (OD)
    • Organisational development
    • Change management
    • Workforce transformation
