The Opportunity
The best originators are usually the most constrained. The committee owns the pen, origination feeds someone else's P&L, and the upside is capped before the deal clears. This is the opposite of that. Blue Genesis is backing the build of a next-generation arranger: an independent structured-credit platform for secured transactions, built to move where traditional lenders hesitate. It sources, structures, arranges, and monitors complex secured deals across European mid-market credit, holding no principal positions and carrying no house agenda that competes with the people who originate.
The platform exists to let a strong dealmaker run a book properly - resourced, structured, and paid on what they generate. The edge lies where the market is slow: jurisdictional complexity, cross-border collateral, and structures that require aligning capital and originators others cannot bring together. That is precisely where the deal flow is real and the competition is thin.
This is not a legacy desk. It is a build, and it is gathering pace - live mandates, active counterparties, and a network of capital providers and originators already in motion. The infrastructure is institutional; the ambition is aggressive. The intention is to become one of the sharpest independent arrangers in European secured credit, and this is the seat for the person who helps get it there before the market catches on.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The Founder
A principal with more than twenty years across secured lending, structured credit, and complex mid-market origination - building the infrastructure around originators, not committees.
You
A dealmaker in London, Frankfurt, or Milan with a live network and a track record you can evidence. At least ten years originating, structuring, or placing secured and asset-backed transactions - direct lending, receivables, trade, asset finance, special situations, across the collateral spectrum. You know sponsors, family offices, and credit funds, and the intermediaries between them take your call. You do not wait for a mandate; you are one.
You Own the Relationship
- From the first conversation to the signed term sheet, the deal is yours to move.
You Have a Real Network
- Capital and originators who pick up when you call, not names inherited on a CRM.
You Read Structure
- You see how a deal must be built to clear, and you know when the collateral is not there.

The Platform
The workflow rewards judgment, speed, and independent execution over headcount and consensus. Everyone here owns deals. There are no passengers, no one administering another's book, no one waiting to be told what to work on. You bring the flow, you carry it, you close it - and you price risk honestly, never selling a deal you would not fund yourself.
The Economics
- Origination is rewarded as origination.
- Meaningful carried interest on what you build, upside that scales with volume, and no ceiling.
- Full transparency - no hidden allocations, no opaque pools.
- This is not a large guaranteed package to open a conversation; it is a platform for someone who wants to be paid for what they land.
If This is You
A genuine producer sitting in a seat that limits you, looking for a platform sharp enough to keep pace. One strong conversation usually tells both sides whether this is real. The founder is in London in two weeks and available to meet in person, with regular travel to Frankfurt and Milan. Serious candidates are invited to reach out directly.
