French-Speaking M&A Origination Professional | London | Full-time
We’re partnered with a leading international investment bank to appoint a French-speaking origination professional to join its growing London team.
Working closely with senior colleagues, you’ll help expand the firm’s presence in France by identifying prospective opportunities, building relationships with business owners and management teams, and developing a strong network across the French market.
This is a highly commercial, outward-facing position suited to someone who enjoys opening doors, engaging senior decision-makers, and turning market intelligence into actionable opportunities.
The Role
You’ll take ownership of origination activity across France, combining thoughtful research with proactive outreach and regular engagement in the market.

Responsibilities will include:
- Identifying and researching attractive businesses and potential opportunities across the French market.
- Building relationships with founders, business owners, management teams, investors, and advisers.
- Conducting proactive outreach and confidently initiating conversations with senior decision-makers.
- Attending relevant conferences and industry events in France and across Europe.
- Developing market intelligence and sharing relevant insights with the wider team.
About You
You may currently work in origination, business development, investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or strategy consulting. The firm is open to candidates from varied backgrounds and is particularly interested in people with the personality and commercial instincts to succeed in a relationship-led role.

You’ll likely:
- Speak fluent French and have a strong understanding of French business culture.
- Have approximately four or more years of relevant professional experience.
- Be confident conducting proactive outreach and initiating conversations with senior stakeholders.
- Be naturally sociable and enjoy attending events, developing relationships, and building a network.
- Have strong research, analytical, and commercial judgement.
- Be proactive, resilient, and motivated by generating new opportunities.
