Registered Doctor (UK Digital Health Service, 3-month Fixed-Term Contract)
We’re seeking registered Doctors to join our UK-based, high-impact digital healthcare service, specialising in our weight management programme.
Role Overview
- Remotely assess and evaluate patient consultations, including audits and Assisted Prescribe duties.
- Work within a leading digital health team, focusing on the prescribing of GLP-1 weight-loss medications nationwide.
- Contribute to improved patient outcomes at scale while balancing clinical expertise with innovation.
** Responsibilities**
- Prescribe treatment strictly in line with HeliosX’s clinical protocols and GMC guidelines.
- Collect and request additional patient information when needed to prescribe safely, while maintaining concise, accurate clinical notes.
- Work independently on traffic-heavy demands, adhering to designated rosters to meet team productivity targets.
- Participate in mandatory training (UK-based issuance) and regular team meetings.
- Commit to continuous professional development (CPD) to maintain licensure and refreshing up-to-date knowledge on prescribing guidelines.
- Collaborate with our Customer Support team via email, phone, or video to provide patient care.
- Correspond professionally with other healthcare professionals (e.g., GPs) as required.
** Requirements**
Licensing & Regulation
- Registered with the General Medical Council (GMC)
- Hold an up-to-date Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT)
- Right to work in the UK

Clinical Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ post-CCT experience in a GP or related setting.
- Experience with obesity, type 2 diabetes, and GLP-1 treatments is highly preferable.
- Prior work in digital or telemedicine—specifically audio-visual consultations (AVCs)—is essential.
- Comfortable following clinical pathways and protocols for prescribing.
Flexibility & Approach
- Ability to learn and adapt to Customer Service tools (e.g., Zendesk) are beneficial.
- Video image link performance screening will be conducted.
- Must provide their own home working setup, ensuring clinical confidentiality and secure handling of patient data.
