Purpose Of the Role:

To deliver a customer-focused quality service to meet customer needs and requirements. Adhere to local production quality control tools to maximise profit, quality of service, and contribute to the strategic vision of the branch.


Responsibilities:

  • Maintain high-quality standards and always deliver excellent customer service.
  • Respond efficiently to customer and network requests related to export operations, providing cost-effective solutions while ensuring operational and service deadlines are met.
  • Ensure compliance with all standard operating procedures and internal policies.
  • Translate and analyse customer requirements to deliver effective operational solutions and maintain high service standards.
  • Manage suppliers proactively to minimise costs and optimise service quality.
  • Identify opportunities to maximise profit without compromising operational quality or customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate effectively with other departments across Rochdale, the UK, and other network branches to maintain strong working relationships.
  • Monitor and maintain network quality targets to ensure operational excellence.
  • Maintain domestic gross profit margins (CM3) across operational cost centres.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Understanding of European routes, regions, and operations. (Desirable)
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to maximise profit while maintaining quality.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines accurately.
  • Calm under pressure and able to prioritise effectively.
  • Committed to delivering excellent customer service.
  • Clear and professional communicator, verbally and in writing.
  • Proactive problem solver with strong judgement.
  • Good understanding of European road freight operations.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Organised and able to manage high volumes of customer requests.
  • Able to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
  • Confident using standard software and capable of quickly learning new systems or tools as required.
