Outbound Advisor
Salary: £25,851.41 per annum
Location: Croydon, South London
Finlay Jude Associates are recruiting on behalf of a leading water industry contractor for a Customer Side Leakage Outbound Advisor to join their operational team. This role plays a key part in supporting water efficiency targets while delivering excellent customer service.
The successful candidate will be responsible for making outbound calls to customers to arrange appointments for water engineers to attend properties and investigate suspected customer-side leakage.
Key Responsibilities
- Making a high volume of outbound calls (approximately 150 per day)
- Booking appointments for engineer visits, with a target of 15 appointments per day
- Ensuring all inbound calls are answered and handled efficiently and professionally
- Providing a positive customer experience while working on behalf of a major water utility
- Liaising with internal departments to support a “first time right” approach and effective resolution
- Working calmly and decisively in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
- Using a range of office systems including email, spreadsheets, databases, and Microsoft Office

Additional Information
- Performance bonus available for exceeding appointment targets
- Full-time position, Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:00
- Role will become permanent following successful completion of a 6-month probationary period
The ideal candidate will be confident, resilient, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment. You will have excellent communication skills and a professional telephone manner, with the ability to build rapport quickly with customers.
You will be able to manage a high volume of outbound calls while maintaining accuracy and customer focus. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential, along with the ability to remain calm under pressure and think clearly when handling challenging conversations.

Previous experience in a call centre, customer service, outbound calling, or appointment booking role would be advantageous, although full training will be provided. You must be computer literate, with experience using Microsoft Office and CRM or database systems.
