The Role We are looking for an energetic, highly motivated Sales Development Executive to join our growing commercial team. This is a phone-heavy, office-based sales role focused on engaging US-based businesses and drivers who have been identified through Jove's insurance validation onboarding process. You will be the first point of contact for prospective customers, helping them understand their insurance requirements, identifying opportunities to support them with appropriate insurance solutions, and booking qualified meetings for our insurance specialists. Success in this role comes from building rapport quickly, confidently handling outbound calls, capturing interest within the first few minutes of a conversation, and creating a positive customer experience. You will be joining a fast-growing team where your performance will directly contribute to the company's growth and your own career progression.
Working Hours & Location Full-time, office-based position (5 days per week in office). Must be available to work US-facing hours. Working hours are 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Standard office hours apply on Wednesday and Friday. Based in our office and working closely with the wider commercial team.

Key Responsibilities Conduct outbound calls to businesses and drivers generated through Jove's insurance validation onboarding process. Contact companies to gather insurance renewal and expiry information. Build rapport quickly with prospective customers and understand their insurance needs. Educate customers on insurance requirements and available insurance solutions (training provided). Identify sales opportunities and book qualified meetings for insurance advisers and senior sales team members. Maintain high levels of outbound activity through calls, email, LinkedIn, and CRM-driven campaigns. Accurately update customer information and activity within company systems. Work closely with management to improve sales processes, outreach campaigns, and customer engagement. Provide customer feedback to help shape future products and services.
What We're Looking ForMust-Haves Confident, outgoing personality with excellent communication skills. Comfortable speaking with US-based customers and professional drivers throughout the day. Natural relationship builder who can quickly establish trust and credibility. Strong cold-calling and objection-handling skills. Quick thinker who can adapt conversations in real time and confidently handle unexpected questions. Self-motivated, resilient, and highly target-driven. Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment. Excellent verbal communication and telephone manner. Experience in sales, lead generation, recruitment, insurance, customer acquisition, appointment setting, or other customer-facing commercial roles.

Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is someone who thrives on speaking with people, enjoys the challenge of outbound sales, and isn't afraid to pick up the phone. You'll have a big personality, lots of energy, and the confidence to engage complete strangers, build rapport quickly, and turn conversations into opportunities.
Nice to Have Experience selling to US customers. Experience within insurance, transportation, logistics, recruitment, or SaaS. Experience using HubSpot, Klenty, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar sales tools. Understanding of commercial insurance products or compliance requirements. Experience working with SMEs, contractors, owner-operators, or marketplace businesses.
