Job Title: Outbound Sales Representative (Permanent)
Location & Hours
- Oldbury (office-based)
- Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm
Salary & Potential •
£30,000 per annum, plus commission • Performance-related bonus & target-driven commission (subject to criteria)

About the Role
Title: Outbound Sales Representative
Purpose
To drive new business growth via proactive outbound sales (telephony, email, social media) and contribute to revenue targets. You’ll:
- Generate qualified opportunities aligned with SGS’s Business Assurance strategy
- Identify, engage, and qualify prospective clients
- Build early-stage relationships and position SGS as the preferred partner for key services
- Develop a consistent pipeline of leads to support the wider commercial team

Key Responsibilities
- Executes outbound sales strategies (outreach, CRMs, social media)
- Engages with target accounts to gain market intelligence and convert leads
- Qualifies and prioritises prospective clients to ensure sales funnel efficiency
- Supports product/service positioning and client proposals
- Tracks performance metrics and contributes to commercial targets
- Maintains accurate records in CRM and reporting systems
Requirements
Ideal Candidate Profile
A self-motivated individual with proven experience in sales-driven, performance metrics environments.
Essential Experience
✔ B2B sales (preferably business assurance, testing/inspection, or certification markets) ✔ Outbound sales (target-focused, proactive techniques) ✔ Customer pipeline generation (qualifying leads in target sectors) ✔ Functionality with CRM systems (or willingness to learn) or MS Office tools
Desirable (Nice-to-Have)
- Relevance to Business Assurance sector (testing, inspection, sustainability)
- Previous experience in tech/industrial certification sectors
- Strong data-driven decision-making skills
